In reply to the discussion: Looks like I'm not the only black woman who noticed Barrett's condescending tone toward Kamala [View all]Hekate
(100,133 posts)34. Appreciate all of you in this thread for listening to what I (& my husband) could not stomach...
My husband said her voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard, & neither of us wanted to have this performance on until we were sure it was over, so I just clicked in and out during the day with the mute on, hoping for a break.
Barrett is about as bad as she possibly can be, then.
She follows in the footsteps of nominations/appointments to the SCOTUS by the GOP that are blisteringly insulting to the intelligence of any thinking American like filling Thurgood Marshalls vacancy with Clarence Thomas. Now theyre going to fill Ruth Bader Ginsbergs vacancy with this appalling creature.
Thats a helluva legacy.

When she was responding to the question about climate change, she was particularly offensive.

She was probably coached to do that because Harris is running against trump/Pence.

What a delicious image. But alas, it's siren song was so palate pleasing that I forgot to savor it.
