He was suggesting that just because it was summer didn't mean it would not keep going strong and he was correct. It's expected to keep going into the winter and cases to expand. That is not "seasonal" it just means it hits year round but can be heavier in the colder months. Seasonal would mean it dies down to almost nothing in the summer which it didn't.
