1) The House and the Senate are independent bodies
2) The House initiates impeachment. The Senate has nothing to do with impeachment until the Speaker of the House delivers the articles of impeachment to them
3) The Senate votes to confirm or deny presidential appointees, not the House
4) The Attorney General has nothing to do with the confirmation process officially. He can resign today and the confirmation vote could still be held.
5) Even if would make any difference, until the AG is removed by a 2/3 vote of the Senate he's still the AG: President Clinton kept working throughout his impeachment process

This is grasping at straws that aren't there. It's as effective as praying that McConnell will suddenly get struck by lightening or develop a sense of patriotism. Put your efforts into flipping the Senate while there's a chance.
