Because we don’t just impeach judges because we don’t like their rulings or we don’t agree with their stance on heavily political issues. Think about how dangerous that would be. Every time there was a change in the party occupying the White House, the incoming party could just wipe out the judges they don’t like and replace them. There’s a reason the framers made their term of service so broad and open ended.
