I believe they want to eventually become the new Republican Party because they sure as hell can’t go back to the current one.

If they succeed they will be our opponents. But not enemies. That’s apparently not how they see us.

And one thing to keep in mind. They have crossed the rubicon. People change and more so when they are cast adrift. They may never be liberal democrats, but that is not necessarily an evil.

We will always have an opposing party. I would love to see a Conservative party who takes on their traditional role. Slowing change. Not turning back the clock. Not that I want change slowed. I’m a liberal. But better then than modern fascists.
