On the occasion of my birthday, I want to thank the whole Democratic Underground

172. Mine was last week.

My birthday was the 28th but we "celebrated" it yesterday. My son had marinated and cooked a brisket and he, my daughter-in-love and 2 granddaughters brought a folding outdoor table and we had a socially distanced dinner on the front lawn of my condo. Got a few stares from cars passing by but it was wonderful. First meal we have eaten as a family since February so it was so sweet. My oldest granddaughter voted for the first time this year. The March For Our Lives that we all went to together seems so very long ago because we are living in the time of Covid. The brisket was tender and delicious and better than Mission Bar-BQ. We took some pictures and sent them to my daughter in South Carolina.

I just have to confess that although I joined DU very recently, I have been lurking here for years and years and feel I know many of you. I was really freaked out 4 years ago when the site was down and I couldn't access it for some hope so I am so grateful you're being proactive this year and have people on this already (since I have no idea how this is done).
