80. I hate having my street address on my DL
Tue Oct 2, 2012, 03:14 PM
Oct 2012

Because many people want to use that address rather than the PO Box. I don' know why the PO Box was good for over thirty years and suddenly is not sufficient. Both the DL Bureau and the Post Office had the street address on file for us so it was not as if we could not be found easily. We've lived on the same property for over thirty years so we're not transients.

Oh yeah - the same DL office also did not want to accept my old Social Security card because the young clerk had never seen one like it. It's the only SS card I've ever had, except for the other original which is still attached to the page my parents got in the late 1950s early 1960s when they got the SS cards for us all. Good thing there was an older clerk there that remembered the old style SS cards or the young clerk would have not accepted it at all.
