That the House was more partisan and had extremes because you didn’t have to win statewide. And the thought was that a senator would be more moderate and willing to compromise because he or she had to win statewide....but it doesn’t really play that way when a lot of these rural states (the Dakotas, Wyoming, Idaho, etc) and in the Deep South you can win without being moderate....Hell even in the purple states (Wisconsin, Florida, Pennsylvania) the GOP senators don’t moderate their views.
