13. You can have the vet clip the ends of the claws

Just like you clip the claws on dogs. So the cats’s claws are left blunted so they can’t scratch the furniture.

I had to leave my cat at a cat hotel for a few days and it was required by the owners. My cat didn’t seem to mind and only started scratching the furniture when his claws got sharp again. I think scratching furniture is because it keep their claws healthy and in shape.
