Unfortunately Trump has put many of them in civil service jobs that have protections from firing. The Biden team may need to create a few new levels of supervision to get these people far enough down the ladder that they can’t do much damage. If there are any career people left, they will know the ones to watch for sabotage, which can be a basis for firing. What a mess, and this incompetence is what Trump voters wanted. Thank God they lost because four more years of Trump would have seen a federal government totally incapable of functioning in any way.
