"threatening" being any strong enough to frustrate their ambitions. That's us. They can't "grow up," it's what they are. At least so I've read from studies.

It's a core psychology they share with -- big surprise -- the aggressive trumpists also obsessed with demonizing and attacking the Democrats in their way.

Also not a big surprise, given all they have in common, is that hard-cores on both sides may move back and forth between camps. Or permanently, and then that seems to usually be from left to finding a home on the right. Maybe that could be viewed as a form of "growing up?" Makes sense given that RW hostiles are much more numerous and successful, not held back by the far left's relative wimpiness, and by then I imagine acting out their hostility has been sabotaging their claimed ideals for years anyway.
