People are reacting to the situation from what appears to be an emotional and/or realpolitik perspective. Some pointing out that men have a pattern of this behavior, therefore... others saying that right wingers have weaponized the sexual harassment claim, implying that perhaps the woman has been compromised.

The way to go about this is to report the allegations, allow for the investigation (without speculating)to be conducted, then based on the evidence, draw the conclusions and proceed with what is needed to be done to hold someone accountable.

Because we are emotional, tribal, and no always rational, people will continue to either proceed like Cuomo is guilty, or to trash the name of his accuser.
