It's a late start but for once, Mike Pence has done the right thing. Credit where credit is due.

Not going to let this excuse ride, the vice presidency is a constitutional office & the president has no power over him. We've had a few independent minded vice presidents that couldn't be managed - notably, for better and worse, Aaron Burr. Mr Pence could've been better all along.
