9. I can only go by the impressions I had in school. I was definitely not told that the electoral

College was there to give power to the slave owners. Wasn't told how the 3/5 slave person translated into political power for the owners. Not sure I was taught that only property owners could vote. Definitely not taught that the 2nd amendment was for killing Indians and chasing runaway slaves. Of course we learned that later women and all races had the right to vote, but it wasn't emphasized that they were lacking originally. We could've been given Washington's message to a Jewish community. Jefferson's hope that all religions could worship here. Never taught how Jackson defied a supreme court ruling, and I wasn't taught the trail of tears. LOTS.

But, one thing I was taught was that our govt provided for voting as the way to express opinion and that the use of violence to impose an opinion was anti American.
