(29,080 posts)I never see any proof, ever (unless it's about 90s trade deals so they can blame Clinton). How is the Democratic Party not the party of the working class.
As the article says, "Sanders has a long history of obsessing about 'white working-class voters' and while he didn't specify white voters here, Trump's voters were overwhelmingly white, and Joe Biden won voters making less than 100,000 a year by double digits."
He still thinks racism has nothing to do with it and if you simply explain why someone is voting against their economic interest, they will stop doing so. It's like what he said in an interview last year when asked how, if he were elected president and Mitch McConnell was still the majority leader, he'd get anything done. His answer was rallies. He'd go to Kentucky and hold rallies and force McConnell and Republicans in Congress to do their jobs. Easy. Done.
