In reply to the discussion: TRIGGER WARNING Dr. documents her mistreatment before dying of Covid-19 [View all]smirkymonkey
(63,221 posts)38. Here is one reveiw I found on a Healthgrades.com website...
"I hesitate to refer to this man as a physician, and cannot, in good conscience, recommend him. He accused me of being an alcoholic when my liver enzymes were out of whack, and refused to believe that I do not drink alcohol, because of my medication. Told me my numbers looked like what he would see in an alcoholic on a Saturday night in the ER!
I responded that my receiving good medical care depends on my being honest with my doctor. He laughed, and called me a liar. I left immediately, found a new physician, and learned that my medication levels were toxic, and had damaged my liver and kidneys.
I had severely sprained my ankle, and he refused to even look at it, when I voiced my concern. It required surgery to heal properly. He is rude, arrogant, extremely condescending, and seems threatened by informed, intelligent patients. I would advise asking for a new doctor immediately if he walks into your hospital room, and would never refer anyone to his office!"
Asshole! I hope he gets fired and loses his license.

Oh, and of course she was denied pain medication, because the other doctor probably assumed she was

Sickening to think that there has to be a strong reason for the doctor's treating her like she was

Race occurred to me. I didn't think of weight. Both warrant extra vigilance, not being ignored.

Thank you for standing up for yourself so firmly. I would have probably gotten a little bit unglued.

Google this idiot "doctor," and find he's been getting similar complaints for years.
