I am also a physician who was also recently in the hospital for COVID. My Decadron and Remdesivir were delayed for two days, and I too had to demand and threaten in order to get the treatment I needed.

The current generation of doctors are too addicted to their "protocols". They do not look at the patient. When your oxygen saturation is "normal" but the patient is breathing 28 times a minute that is not "normal". When an asthmatic says "I need steroids and neb treatments", the asthmatic knows what she is talking about.

I have found that my non-physician husband is listened to by doctors in a way that I am not. I think it is because I am a woman and all women are "hysterical."
