In reply to the discussion: What happened to the big storm? [View all]Karma13612
(4,990 posts)31. We are wintering away from Norther New York (NY-21) right now.
We are down in Eastern North Carolina.
We were in the middle of a nasty storm yesterday into early this morning.
For the first time in my life, that I am aware of, I was living right in a Tornado warning bulls eye.
We did not get a tornado but the waves and the wind were quite dramatic.
We are in the Emerald Isle area in North Carolina until end of March.
Today the sound side (facing towards land and Morehead City), is very choppy with white caps and the ocean side waves are still really intense. But the sun is out and temp has dropped down to the 40s with a wind chill making it feel like 36 F. Brrr.
Turkey in the oven, peace abounds. Thankful for everything.
Merry Christmas to all!
