50. Brrr!

I’m cold just looking at that picture!

Well, you certainly were a brave soul!

Maybe we will get lucky and not have too much. I brought layers and some simple Columbia hiking boots so I am hoping that is enuf. Plenty of warm snuggly socks for lounging in the house as well as a ski cap and one pair of thinsulate style gloves. Yesterday after the storm passed thru, and again today, we bundled up and walked over to the ocean side and walked along the beach. Cold but gloriously sunny.

Since we are used to really long cold snowy winters, this has been a piece of cake so far. And the experience over just the last 3 weeks has been magical.

Weather permitting, we will be taking day trips to various cities and other locales in NC over the next 3 months. I am falling in love with the area but it is a bit pricey for actually purchasing I’m afraid. And I think I would have trouble with the hot humid summers.

It may be that we settle on being wintering North Carolinians for a time. Summers in the North Country of New York are really lovely.

anyway, I must enjoy the moment and not think so much about the future. The sunset over the sound tonight was the color of a ‘Tequila sunrise”.

Hugs and stay warm! And Happy Holidays to you!!
