One for each county. In addition, every Presiding Judge is required to take copies of the election results home and keep them for 3 years. The packet will include documentation of the opening and closing machine totals, # of voters, itemization of the different contests and copies of the seals used on the equipment

We would have duplicate information for 300 precincts here; I have 3 years worth of election info in my house.

The machines we use produce paper ballots and the machines we use for actual voting do not store any information. My guess is that the paper is stored in one location and the data in another.

Each county chooses its own equipment, Dominion is not the only game in town.
