Would those saying 10 still feel that way if they knew it would mean giving the Republicans large majorities in congress and several red-again states two years from now, and losing the WH to them also in 2024? And the ACA is subsequently repealed? Huge costs, but suggested make the problem clear.
If we could know the cost was handleable, that we're hurt and have real ground to make up, but not disastrously, I'd be a 10. Never again. I believe our representatives should all fear the consequences of crossing us. And of course, no one should ever be above the law.
But we don't know. And given what the right has become, their hated opponents jailing a president they elected would be more likely to enrage and energize more than it enlightened. Even those glad to have him gone would resent it.
