(5,370 posts)20. An acquaintance of mine got sick. So did his wife. His symptoms were mild. Hers caused her to be
hospitalized. She was on a vent for over a week. She survived, but was left with cognitive problems and breathing issues. The friend of an acquaintance lost her 12 year old son to Covid. She was told to put him to bed and keep him quiet and resting. He never woke up. My friend in her late sixties had serious symptoms but recovered at home with no ill effects. That's the trouble with this virus; it's capricious. You never know how it's going to affect YOU. It's like playing Russian roulette.
