22. With us, different and yet same circumstances.

We met when we were both 22. That was in 1974.

There has been much water under the bridge since then. She had never met an American who spoke her language, figured she‘d never see the place. We still don‘t speak English with each other, but at least now she‘s comfortable speaking it. Our daughters are 100% bilingual, and live on opposite sides of the Atlantic. After 46 years together, the concept of living with anyone else is more remote than the planet Neptune.
