4. She's in a tough position...Alaskans won't take kindly to her going Dem...may tolerate Independent..

...but then she'd have to choose who to caucus with and if she says Dem she's damned politically and if she says Rep, she has her own soul to contend with. I was thinking maybe she is thinking retirement but at only 63 she's young by Senate standards so I will bet she stays Rep is she wants to run again. There have only been two Democratic senators from Alaska in the last 80 years although Trump only got 54% there in November so maybe the political winds in Alaska are changing. I'd love to see an exodus from the Rep party but given we didn't flip many Senate seats in the election, even with last week's events I doubt there will be real movement. But one can hope!
