Mother and Baby home run by the nuns, where the women or inmates worked in the Magdalene laundry. Many never left, effectively slave labour.

If you want an example as to why Mass attendance has dropped from about 90% to around 30%, it's the exposure of scandals like this. And it will go lower as the elderly die off.
