16. Democrats won't actually have a majority in the Senate until Kamala Harris gets sworn in as VP

She's the tiebreaker. She takes the oath just shortly before Biden will on Jan. 20th. So Trump will still be President for only a few minutes while the Democrats have "control" of the Senate. But the Senate will have other things to do that day, like watching the inauguration of Joe Biden on TV. Then Trump won't hold office anymore.

If they want to continue impeachment proceedings against Trump anyway and declare him retroactively unfit, I'd support that. But I'm not sure there's any legal point, since the moment Trump ceases to have the protection from criminal prosecution that the Justice Department says a President has (a bullshit Nixon idea), law enforcement agencies will race each other to see who can slap the handcuffs on Donald fastest.

I'm not sure if Trump will try to hole up in the White House bunker, or if he will try to sneak on a flight to a non-extradition country.
