Long shots can happen. But it takes a highly trained team. Not just some dude who can shoot. The spotter is as important as the shooter. These peckerwoods have neither.
Plus, the SS knows this landscape like the back of their hands. There is no point of weakness they dont know of. Chances are that hey will have their own sniper teams on the most exposed areas.
