I check in with Joe occasionally and when my blood pressure starts to spike, I know it's time to step away from the TV. Once in a while Joe has a guest who can actually push back against his standard crap he brews up day after day. Today was a typical one where Joe gets on a rant about such nonsense as this: "A lot of his Democratic friends are telling him that for the first time they are thinking of voting for the Republican." Uh, yea, if anyone actually believes that --- 1. He has ANY friends, much less Democratic friends, I have some swampland for sale. And 2. The day that a Democrat jumps ship from their candidate to embrace a Republican candidate like Mittster will be the day the earth stands still. It ain't happenin' any more than Romney's base will jump to Obama after his 47 % gaffe. Stay home, not vote? That I'll buy. But going for the other guy? Oh, puh-leaze.
Joe has to do what he does because he is a politician turned TV personality. He has to keep things churned up. That's his shtick. But does anyone take him seriously? I certainly hope not. DUers who tune in need to know it's his thing. It's what he does. It does NOT make it true. He just likes to throw stuff out there to get people stirred up. Relax and know he is not some guru who knows of what he speaks. No matter how much he would have you think he is.
