(43,453 posts)The 72 million we're around are only one out of five people we might be around.
We should no longer try to give people help they don't understand, want, or ask for.
We've spent decades understanding them. We get it.
No more intellectual or political caretaking. Be polite, that's it.
We don't help ourselves with any more "understanding" of people who've used "stories" to plaster defamations on us, still calling us 'Demoncrats', still validating their collective white supremacy privately and calling it something else publicly, still pejoratively calling our building back better goal as radical liberalism or socialism, both of which I embrace and refuse to explain anymore. Top to bottom, we've wasted enough of our past cleaning up after the damage and danger they've threatened and followed through on.
This is no longer about being the better person, decent or even being kind.
We've all been there done that. We still do that.
We've got nothing to prove to the 72 million or their leaders.
We who saved democracy are leaving them to fix themselves.
It's not "rejection."
It's a redirection of our energies and vision.
We don't have to be dragged down by them. Ain't nobody got time for that.
They will have to change by watching and learning from us.
That alone will be their help.
If they want it.
78% of us in America are ready to get moving beyond race sickness, and we're the people with the can-do leadership to get us all there.
Thanks for confirming.
