(15,909 posts)...but then brought back up in a different form when COVID came along), is he overplays his fixation of "real" food.
He used to talk in a very conspiratorial way about this, as if the AMA and McDonald's were in cahoots to make people sick, and then cash out on the medical bills.
He hasn't said much of that lately, but, without any evidence, he made a lot of claims that if only we ate "real" food and exercised more, we'd hardly have to worry about COVID at all.
He's not wrong that diet and exercise can play a role in immunity, but he seems to subscribe to the totally unscientific, practically magical idea that, if you treat your body just right, you'll have nearly complete resistance to all disease.
It doesn't work that way! We don't even know how much diet and exercise (and which particular diet) would tip the scales when it comes to COVID yet.
