8. Why not reform the legislative filibuster?

We can reform the legislative filibuster so that 41 Senators would be required to sustain it, instead of requiring 60 to invoke cloture.

I'm of the "be careful what you wish for" school regarding elminating the filibuster. If a Democratic-controlled Senate gets rid of it and thus pushes through progressive legislation without repukes, an emboldened Republican majority can--and will--ram unpopular and harmful legislation without Dems being able to stop it.
