In reply to the discussion: The face mask that could end the pandemic [View all]Liberal In Texas
(16,436 posts)10. N95s are the only thing I'll wear. I get them from a company in Houston that imports them.

Made in China but the company is registered with NIOSH.

About $100 for 20 masks. Maybe a bit pricey, but what is your health and peace of mind worth?
They can be reused. After I go someplace I put the mask used in a paper bag and don't use that one for at least a week. By that time any virus on the mask will have died.
When I had an appointment with my primary healthcare person and I was informed the next day she had just found out she had a positive test for covid, I was glad I was wearing an N95 and so was she with a paper surgical mask over that. I apparently missed the bullet and tested negative for a couple of weeks for a total of 4 times.
And to everyone that says "my cloth masks are just as good" that just isn't true. With the new more contagious variants you really need all the protection you can get when you have to be around other people.

One suggestion is to put some paper tape across the top of the mask at the bridge of your nose
