23. A year from now, the Republicans may be the ones hoping she not run

At this point, we know that the Trump campaign paid her a salary far beyond what even a high profile qualified person would get -- and no one has suggested her qualifications - other than being married to a Trump -- warrant that. In addition, it is very possible her husband will be dealing with legal problems. He already has some very major negatives.

No one knows how the next year will play out for Republicans. One very real possibility is that they turn on the messenger (Trump) while doubling down on the message (essentially white nationalism and a bizarre idea that God supported Trump) A second possibility is blaming the people around Trump - including people like Lara and Eric. (Easily done just by pointing out that the waste of money AND the stories of how money was misused could be said to have had an impact -- lesser negatives have been blamed in past elections) If either of these happen, she will be poison to many people.

One question for North Carolinians, will the fact that she has not lived there since she was young matter? (I have lived in states where it wouldn't - ie NJ, and states where it very likely would - VT, where the Democratic Lt Governor in debates, ads etc made constant reference to being a 4th generation Vermonter at least in the primary.
