Most strong conservatives are also strong on conformity, and we all need social approval. And polls keep saying there's a strong desire for a return to decency and good sense among a lot of those who voted (twice) for him. So in big terms I'm hoping that now that their leader has failed the more-sensible and/or just angry conservatives will distance from him, leaving those who cling to him and his attitudes increasingly disapproved of by people around them. Just realized I've come back to that dead chicken fix.
