11. They understand

they just don't care. They really don't. Our elementary kids went back in person today. They are waiting to bring middle and high school kids back. At first, it was a delay to get those teacher vaccinated because the risk from older kids who are not always under parental control is greater and they wanted to get us vaccinated. I was supposed to get my first dose last Friday, but the county only received 1,000 of the 8,000 doses it ordered.
Now the tune has changed. Now the school board is saying our return is not predicated on a fully vaccinated staff, and it never was. No one knows when the vaccines will be available.
I feel like my employer for the last 19 years does not care what happens to me. I know this is nothing new, but it has NEVER been so apparent.
