6. Time to cap spending on new military hardware. Weapons systems that nobody wants... EXCEPT.....

..... Congress members to bring home the "bacon". It is no coincidence that every state has manufacturers that build components for high-tech weapons systems.

Don't get me wrong, as a veteran, I am for "defense" spending BUT on the human side of the defense.

It is long past time to give the men, women, and families in the military the things they need to thrive. NO military family should need to be on food stamps. And deal with a shortage of housing, education, and medical care. Adequate pay for active-duty personnel and their family should be in every budget.

BETTER care for the veterans so that NO veteran has to live on the streets or suffer from PTSD or drug and alcohol addiction because adequate services nationwide are not available.

Medicare for All would help veterans seek local healthcare even in the smallest communities. Raise the minimum wage to $15.00 / hour so former military families can support the family once they have served.
