(13,356 posts)Biden has had years in government, including 8 years as Obamas right-hand man. Im sure during those years he determined things he would do if and when he got the chance. Now hes finally in charge, and he is moving fast. Not only does he have a boatload of Trump trash to remove, but he has a pandemic on his hands and perhaps only two years to accomplish his big goals. Biden is well aware that Republicans may retake the House majority in 2022 after Republican states gerrymander their districts to ensure more Republican wins.
I think he also learned from the Obama experience with the ACA that you can bend over backwards for Republicans for the sake of cooperation and all they will do is knife you in the back. So now hes fine with passing the Covid relief by Democrats only.
It also helps that Biden knows a lot of very smart, experienced government operatives who also know how to get things done. Im impressed with General Austin already.
