In reply to the discussion: As a Biden doubter [View all]SergeStorms
(19,201 posts)I'm a little younger than Joe, but my original thoughts were that we needed someone much younger to take the reins of democracy. After Harris dropped out, and Mayor Pete didn't have the support to go on, I started to rethink Biden. As much as DJT screwed up this country, we were going to need someone with a working knowledge of government, and someone with a very steady hand. Joe Biden was the only candidate that fit that description, at least to my way of thinking. Bernie supporters will probably want to take me to the woodshed on this, but Bernie's ideas would be too extreme for many middle-of-the-road Americans. If Democrats were going to take back the White House, Joe Biden was the person for the job. We'll eventually get to Bernie's positions, but it's going to take some time, and unfortunately Bernie probably won't be around when they happen.
Joe and Kamala are the team that our country needs at this crucial point in time, and they're doing a splendid job so far.
