12. Democrats could use a couple additional Senators to keep Biden's agenda moving.

And I don’t mean Republicans who’ll swing over to the Democratic side occasionally. I mean Democratic Senators. The 50-50 tie means the Dems lead is razor thin and the Vice President is going to get worn out serving up the tie-breaker on these progressive issues.

Which Republicans are either up for re-election or retiring?

How vulnerable are they to a serious Democratic challenge?

There’s got to be at least 2.

(Yes, I’m worried about Georgia. I have no insider dope on Warnock or Ossoff, but I know Warnock is up for re-election in 2022. He should beat up on Collins. But the Republican voters love idiots and vote for them all the time. And Collins is an idiot. Ossoff, at least, is safe through 2026. Still, I’d feel a lot safer if I knew, in 2022, that the Dems had 52 Senators or more.)
