(673 posts)40. Umm, sure would be surprising that an experimental drug being developed to treat ovarian cancer
could "cure" a viral condition through an anti inflammatory effect.We already have meds that treat cytokine storms and not everyone afflicted by covid 19 suffer from these storms. As a cynic, I have to wonder how much of this is hype promoting the country as the hospital chief even mentions how great it would to bring a white and blue cure to the world. I would be just as cynical if some American doctor talked about bringing a red white and blue cure to the world. I hope that Phase II trials with double blind studies confirm their earlier results.

That's a really small sample. Plus, 29 out of 30 is a 97% recovery rate...what it already is.
