what else do you want them to do? Beat their heads against the wall and ignore everything else?

It’s clear there will not be 17 Republican votes, no matter what. The impeachment is to convince the public, and make the whole thing recorded for history and all posterity to judge.
So yeah, do it and move on ... there’s no other choice, really.
