19. R's have long been anti-democratic, the question is about ethics and law.

They last won a popular election 2004. An aberration as they lost the popular election in 2000, and all through the '90s, the '00s, the '10s and the trend is continuing in here in the '20s. The Republican party has been a minority party for decades.

Ethically they are wholly corrupt. They will vote to acquit Trump this time for pure political reasons. But this is also often seen with the party under McConnell's rule. He changes the rules to suit his interests, he lies constantly and negotiates in bad faith and brags about it on Fox News.

Because of that, they lie about being the party of law. We have seen these lies for decades. Remember spying on Americans and shoving in a provision to the PATROIT act to make it retro-actively legal? Remember torture of prisoners? I can go on and on here.
