33. Mitch McConnell gets my vote
Thu Feb 11, 2021, 01:45 AM
Feb 2021

Two years into President Obama's first term, McConnell vowed to obstruct everything he could. Then after the 2010 Census he began helping enact project redmap, a massive redistricting effort using census data to carefully calculate where lines needed to be drawn. To make it happen, the GOP dumped massive amounts of outside money into local & state races that had never seen such funding; Dems didn't stand a chance. From there, McConnell blocked hearings for everything from Federal Judges to the USPS board so that the next GOP President could fill them. Along the way, McConnell enabled the building of the party platforms that merged Christian zealots, the Tea Party, and others into the GOP. This whole time, McConnell's rules were simple: change the rules to whatever gave the GOP more power. He built Trump's Resurrection, then when it failed he slunk away, turned around and pretended to object to what happened. But make no mistake, if Trump is acquitted McConnell will assist his return to power. Oh, did I forget personal grift? He wouldn't be a good Republican without it.
