I remain in favor of not calling witnesses and getting this thing behind us. There is ample time for Merrick Garland to fully and deeply investigate this entire situation once he gets confirmed. But he won't get confirmed until the impeachment trial is completed. As long as the Senate is bogged down with an impeachment trial that will STILL yield an acquittal is a waste of valuable time in my opinion.
