If you believe that Trump was instrumental in the planning and execution of the raid, you have to be able to imagine what he thought that the end game looked like. The only possible way for the coup to succeed is if Congressmen or women were murdered, the raid was blamed on Antifa, and Trump had to take over to stop the violence. It was his Reichstag Fire. Trump was perfectly willing to sacrifice both lawmakers and seditionists in his goal to remain in power. He is a ruthless, evil bastard and the people who will vote to acquit him are cut from the same cloth. They know.
