6. I went to Italy in 1973 when I was in high school. It was extraordinary.

I was in Rome, Naples, and Sorrento, with a day trip to Pompeii. The ash casts in the museum were heartbreaking--I'll never forget seeing one of a child and one of a dog wearing a collar that I will never forget. The vivid colors in one of the villas I toured were just incredible.
