(8,159 posts)It's interesting you didn't have antibodies six months later. That question generally speaking has been up in the air with no hard data to formulate conclusions.
I live in a community of folks over 62. One of my neighbors who I've known for about 40 years or so, contracted MS a few years back, and when she got her vaccinations she had mildly adverse effects after the first, and then the second put her in a tailspin and now she's on Hospice care.
It's something about the immunity system with folks suffering from MS.. It's been explained to me, but I won't rely on my memory as to the cause and effect, especially since I'm not at all clear on.
But the bottom line is if someone is already dealing with immunity issues coupled with age, it might be good to press the pause button on the vaccination. Everyone is different, but she makes the second person with MS dealing with adverse reactions in my life.
