11. I think the worst is behind us

But it is important to note that there is a difference between “worst is behind us” and “only gets better from here”

Things could backslide and get bad again. I just don’t think they will ever get as bad as winter just was.

I think the real question is between these two possibilities. I think continually better is possible due to the outstanding medical advancements in vaccines. But the other possibility is also there based in variants and returning to bad behavior too soon.

I am actually an optimist (which is not my default position) on this so I actually think we will have continued improvement with only statistically small bumps along the way. But I am not naive enough to believe it is certain.
