The Persians (their families to be precise) who came here to Sweden post US CIA coup d'etat of Mohammad Mosaddegh in Operation Ajax (and this installed the murderous thug dictator Shah Reza Pahlavi), and then who also came in another wave after the Islamic Revolution in 1979 own a tonne of the clubs (or run them) in Stureplan. Many of the Nepalese here came after the Royal Coup, after the US's shift to supporting the authoritarian monarchy, and giving up on democratic reform. More came during the Nepalese Civil War in the 1990's to mid noughties.
