37. Exactly, and that is precisely what I remind my friends and neighbors

There have been a lot of unmentioned benefits under Gov. Newsom which those of us on fixed low incomes have been benefiting and which we would never ever see under any Republican party, even a "moderate conservative". Much worse anything akin to a Newt Gingrich style of hypocritical policies laced with unfathomable corruption.

Not that things couldn't be better and I'm not saying it's been perfect by any stretch but we have benefited through this covid pandemic stimulus from the state wrt SNAP every month with fairly generous increases.

They'll disappear when things return to "normal" no doubt, but the food prices have been jacked up significantly, and this has really helped us get through the month without having to spend cash needed to go towards other necessities.

Also, a few months ago, it was announced that some of us will receive a generous cash stimulus in June. $600 to those on disability, and other low income classifications/groups.

I remind my friends who complain about Newsom's covid policies and other personal issues that we have it a whole lot better with him and any Democrat in office than we would if a Republican takes over. I reminded them all of the good stuff will disappear and life will be a hell of a lot harder on than it already is.

These dark forces are relentless and we have to remain vigil and united against it.
